Utilizing Organic Whole Food Supplements

At Soulworks Acupuncture, we believe that the body has amazing capabilities of healing itself, and that one of the first steps toward preventing disease is proper nutrition.  Today, so much of the food we ingest is heavily processed, laden with sugar, sprayed with chemicals and pesticides, genetically altered, and contains substandard nutrients.  It is no wonder that our body’s immune and filtration systems are over burdened and ill.  To add to this problem, quite often the vitamins and supplements we take in an effort to mend our deficiencies actually cause further depletion to the body.

     To address your nutritional needs, we use Nutrition Response Testing (NRT), and tailor our nutritional recommendations to your body’s specific needs by testing your neurological reflexes and acupuncture points (without needles).  Each NRT reflex represents a specific organ, tissue, or function, and indicates the effect that energy, or lack of energy, is having on the body.  By testing the NRT reflexes, we have a system of monitoring your body at each visit that has proven to be extremely accurate clinically, and that helps us identify exactly what the body needs and how well we are meeting that need.

     Based on the information that your body supplies us, we may suggest supplements and simple strategies to improve your diet and nutrition.  The supplements we provide are from whole foods rather than synthetic vitamins.  The food products are grown on organic farms and are processed to preserve the enzymatic and nutritional potential of ingredients.

This dynamic process of Nutrition Response Testing takes the guesswork out of what nutrition you may be lacking, and allows us to systematize and prioritize your supplement intake so that you won’t be over or under-compensating for any of your nutritional needs.
